About the Department:

The Department of Rachana Sharira is one of the foundational pillars of Ayurvedic education. It focuses on the study of the structure of the human body through both Ayurvedic and modern scientific perspectives. The curriculum covers subjects such as Embryology, Histology, Anthropometry, Genetics, and Marma Sharira, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy.

The department is equipped with a library, museum/demonstration hall, and dissection hall. The museum houses models, specimens, and charts that support effective teaching and learning for undergraduate students. By combining theoretical instruction with practical exposure, the department ensures that students gain a strong foundation in anatomy, which is essential for all branches of medical science.
